What is Osteoarthritis (Spondylosis)?
The neck (cervical spine) is made up of many small joints that help to protect the spinal cord and support the skull. When osteoarthritis develops in these little joints the neck can become very stiff and painful. These symptoms are often worse in the morning and when you have been sat for a long time.

- Neck pain especially in the morning and with prolonged inactivity
- Siffness in the neck especially in the morning
- Shoulder pain referred from the neck

- Consult your GP
- Consult with a chartered physiotherapist
- Use a heat pack – this can help improve the circulation to the neck, therefore decreasing pain and stiffness.
